Art therapy utilizes creative expression through various mediums like drawing and painting to promote emotional well-being and personal growth in therapy.

Jessica holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of British Columbia, Okanagan, and is a Registered Social Worker. She is currently completing a Certificate in Family Mediation through the Justice Institute of BC. Jessica works with both children and adults dealing with a wide range of emotional difficulties including depression, anxiety, personal and work-related stress, parenting, and relationship challenges. She is especially passionate about helping families through difficult life transitions such as divorce and separation. She can help parents to act in the best interests of the children as they navigate conflict, restructure the family system, and implement coparenting plans.

Glenn (he/they) holds a Masters in Counselling Psychology from City University in Vancouver. He is also a Registered Nurse and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.

Glenn has worked over 20 years in mental health and substance use services. Glenn’s areas of competence include working with individuals in the LGBTQIA community, addiction, depression, anxiety, anger and interpersonal violence. Having worked for over two decades as a frontline registered nurse, social worker and clinical counsellor in health care, Glenn has an interest in working with individuals in the health care field.

Bev holds her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Yorkville. She has a special interest in couples, anxiety and fertility issues. Clients who utilize Bev’s services will benefit from her wealth of life experience coupled with her knowledge of the latest evidenced-based therapeutic treatments.

Throughout the counselling process, Bev places an emphasis on building and strengthening a productive working relationship with her clients. She also collaboratively creates holistic treatment plans with clients centered on their needs and goals. Ammy is passionate about perinatal counselling due to her own experience with birth trauma. She takes a holistic approach focusing on mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of healing. Ammy works collaboratively with clients to discover their self-identity and navigate ways to explore their inner strengths. She holds an M. After receiving a Fine Arts degree from the University of Waterloo, Amy continued her studies at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute where she received a Post Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy. Maureen (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor at OCCS, bringing a wealth of experience and education to her role. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, alongside a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Minot State University. Maureen’s journey began on a ranch in North Dakota, where she supported struggling youth dealing with substance use-related challenges. Returning to Saskatchewan, she served as an Addiction and Mental Health Counsellor within Saskatoon’s Health Region, working with both youth and adults across outpatient and inpatient settings.

With expertise honed as a Family Counsellor for the Okanagans’s complex-needs individuals, Maureen’s approach is trauma-informed and attachment-based, creating a secure foundation for her clients. She seamlessly blends empathy with evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, and mindfulness practices. These methods are tailored to resonate with each individual, fostering a sense of being genuinely heard and understood.

Maureen’s commitment extends beyond her practice. As an RCC, she offers custom counselling services, reflecting her dedication to making therapy accessible. Maureen’s adept skills and heartfelt approach guide clients toward positive change and holistic well-being.

When not working at the clinic, Maureen enjoys reading, biking, crafting, outdoor activities with friends, and spending time with her two cats, Spock and Uhura.
